Maxine was a member of the High Street Baptist Church in Springfield, and served faithfully in the children’s department for many years. She had many precious friends, many of whom are already with Jesus.

She had been employed with Edco Microfilming for several years; and she also enjoyed selling Avon and Tupperware products.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ray Earl Fuhr, on December 23, 2009; her parents; and beloved daughter, Connie.

Maxine is survived by a son, Charles R. Fuhr; three grandchildren and their spouses, Carmen and Bill Abney, James and Bonita Harlan, and Jon Harlan; four great grandchildren, Lyssa, Alex, Evelyn, and Hannah; a great-great grandchild, Ella; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Missouri. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. in Kerr Cemetery, Billings, Missouri. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Glendale Gardens Nursing and Rehab and to the Good Shepherd Hospice, and suggest that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to them.
