Mr. Lee Earnest Adair, Jr., age 70, of Billings, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born on February 16, 1948 in Monroe County, Mississippi, to Lee Earnest Adair, Sr. and Clinteary Fuller Adair, both of whom preceded Lee in death. He was the third child in a family of eight, and the oldest son.

Lee accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and joined the Darden Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Okolona, Mississippi.

He was united in holy matrimony to Sharon Stone in September 1984, and they lovingly raised five daughters.

Lee worked for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 38 years until his retirement.

In his service to the Lord, Lee served as a Sunday School teacher at the Second Baptist Church of Neosho, Missouri, and after relocating to Billings, Missouri, Lee joined the First Baptist Church where he served as the chairman of the deacon board and as a Sunday School teacher.

Lee leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Sharon; his daughters, Cynthia Stone, Billings, Mo., Teaerra (Caleb) Horton, Springfield, Mo., Keana Adair, Billings, Mo., Asia Adair, Springfield, Mo., and Alexandrah Banks, Columbia, Mo.; one grandson, Byron Lee Horton, Springfield, Mo.; three sisters, Jeanie Mae Carlisle and Thelma Adair, both of Okolona, Miss., and Annie L. Riley, Milwaukee, Wis.; four brothers, Earskin Adair, A.L. (Carolyn) Adair, and Hershel (Dorothy) Adair, all of Okolona, Miss., and Morgan (June) Adair, San Antonio, Texas; one brother in law, James Stone, Billings, Mo.; one aunt, Mabel Fuller, Detroit, Mich.; one goddaughter, Daphane Dilworth, Dallas, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a best friend, Clifton Gates, Okolona, Miss.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Meadors Funeral Home, 314 N. Main Ave., Republic, MO 65738. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Billings First Baptist Building Fund. Family and friends may share online condolences on this website, at
