Obituary for JO ANN FORESTER

Jo Ann Forester, age 64, of Marionville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 in Mercy Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. She was born on November 11, 1953 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Jerry Roy Sr. and Wanda Lea (Mosby) Maxwell.

She was employed with Murfins Grocery Store in Marionville, Missouri. Jo Ann enjoyed music, concerts, and road trips to the casino, but her greatest love was her family and spoiling her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Wanda; two brothers, John and Ernest Maxwell; and the love of Jo Ann’s life, Russell G. Beer.

Jo Ann is survived by three sons, Joshua R. Beer, Jacob T. Forester, and Tyler O. King; three daughters, Lorna M. Beer, Kristen N. McGauley and husband Tyler; and Haley D. Forester; two grandchildren, Jaidyn Thornton, and Parker McGauley; four siblings, Jerry Maxwell, Jr., Sandra Wallace and husband Leslie, Mary Maxwell, Cynthia Able, and Sheryl Mosby; and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Missouri. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in Nolan Cemetery, Galena, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, contributions could be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
