Obituary for CAROLYN CLOUD

Mrs. Carolyn Cloud of Billings, Missouri, age 88, died April 18, 2018. She was born in Hurley, Missouri, on February 10, 1930, to Nicholas and Dorothea (Werner) McGuire.

In 1951, Carolyn married Donald Lee Cloud, in the Marionville Methodist Church.

She is survived by four children, Dorann and her husband Allen Jones of Lake Jackson, Texas, Ken Cloud of Billings, Missouri, Rick and his wife Kathy Cloud of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Micky and his wife Debbie Cloud of Ruston, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Myra Jones, Karalyn (Jones) Qualls, Andy Cloud, Ashley (Cloud) Hayre, Tiffany (Cloud) Camp and Michael Cloud; four great-grandchildren, Gavin Camp, Roy Qualls, Micaiah Cloud and Fletcher Hayre; a sister, Shirley (McGuire) Barker; and a niece, Patricia (Ebert) Ware.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years, Donald; and a sister, Doris Jean (McGuire) Ebert.

Carolyn helped start and taught the first kindergarten in Billings. Later, she earned her certification as a substitute teacher. For many years she worked as substitute teacher in several of the area elementary schools, later working as a teacher’s aide in the Billings Public Schools. Carolyn was active in the Billings United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school classes for many years.

A visitation for Carolyn will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Meadors Funeral Home, 101 NE Pine, Billings, MO 65610. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, also in the funeral home, with burial following in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Billings.
