There are condolences waiting approval on DORCIA's Tribute wall

Dorcia Leah Wilson, age 88, Republic, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018. She was born June 2, 1930, in Belpre, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph Waldo and Tennessee Virginia (Dixon) Baker.

Dorcia was united in marriage to Victor Morris Wilson on January 5, 1953. They were blessed with 52 years of marriage before Victor passed away on March 10, 2005.

Dorcia was a longtime member of the Pleasant View Fundamental Baptist Church. Her dedication led her to teach for the Sunday school and Bible school. She remained active until declining health prevented her attendance.

The most important time of her day was her morning and evening Bible reading. She also enjoyed caring for her family, doing needlework and caring for her flowers and garden.

Her husband, Victor; her parents; three sisters; and a daughter in law, Pamela Wilson, preceded Dorcia in death.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence Wilson (Celeste Russell) and Ralph Wilson (Jan); a daughter, Mary Jones (James); three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Knaak and Margy Brown; and other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 30, 2018, in Meadors Funeral Home, Republic Missouri. The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 31, 2018, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant View Fundamental Baptist Church. Family and friends may share online condolences on this website at
