Job Description: Rita oversees the day to day operations of the funeral home. She assists families for pre-arrangement planning, and at need arrangements. She also assists at funerals, gravesides, or memorial services; and carries out many other responsibilities that are needed, such as the hiring and training of employees.
Education: Graduated from Republic High School; earned a Associate of Arts degree; and is currently in apprenticeship for Funeral Directing.
Anything else: Rita joined Meadors Funeral Home part time in July 2016, and full time on November 2018. She has lived in the Republic community her entire life. Rita is married with two children. Rita was a volunteer for over fourteen years for the local American Cancer Society.
Title: Licensed Embalmer and Licensed Funeral Director
Job Description: Kathryn is an embalmer and makes other preparations for the body, she meets with families to make funeral arrangements, she directs visitations as well as funeral services, graveside services and services of remembrance; she carries out any other responsibilities as needed.
High School: Mercy High School, Middletown, Connecticut.
College: Briarwood College, in Southington, Connecticut, with an Associate of Applied Science in Mortuary Science, in 2003.
Anything else: Kathryn joined Meadors in 2019. She is married with one child.
Job Description: Rick is an embalmer and makes other preparations for the body; and assists in directing funerals, gravesides, or memorial services; and carries out any other responsibilities as needed.
High School: Lafayette High School, St. Joseph, Missouri
College: Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, in Dallas, Texas, with an Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Science and Embalming, in 1976.
Anything else: Rick joined Meadors Funeral Home in the spring of 2004. Although sadly, Rick has lost his wife, a son, and infant baby; he proudly has two other children, and many grandchildren. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran, and has been an embalmer and funeral director for over 40 years.
Job Description: Russ meets with families to make arrangements; prearrangements; directs visitations, funerals, gravesides, or memorial services; and carries out any other responsibilities needed.
Education: Buffalo High School; and Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
Anything else: Russ first joined Meadors Funeral Home on July 1980, and after a brief hiatus, came back as a part time funeral director. He is married with three children; is a member of the Republic First Christian Church; and the Masonic Lodge.
